- Underset rather than overset goals.
- Make up a weekly list of things to accomplish.
- Make up a "to-do" list for tomorrow and set priorities.
- Keep track on paper of time studying and what you accomplished.
- Reward yourself for finishing items on your "to-do" list.

You forgot to include procrastination.
I find some light music in background keeps me focused.
I found that death metal in the background keeps -me- focused. =)
Thankfully I'm finished with school and haven't got much studying to do these days!
