Wonder How: The President's Pimped Out Caddilac

Ever wonder what Obama rides around in?

General Motors has built Limo First, it is not so much a car as armored personnel involved in the Cadillac body. It is the codename of "diligence", but given its weight, wheelbase and the level of fuel-like protection, Caddy One has been nicknamed "the Beast."

The limousine carrying President Obama down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House today is the latest in a long line of Cadillacs to join the First Fleet in recent years. Although GM and the Secret Service vehicle specs jealously and secrets, you can bet Obama's trip is the hardest, the most sophisticated car anywhere. Think of it as the equivalent of Air Force One street

  2. Find a roll of toilet paper or a roll of parchment paper or Glad-to be found in any supermarket, you can also use a small metal or plastic PVC pipe.
  3. Stretch the thumb on one end of the roll of toilet paper or a pipe and secure with tape. Make bullets for your gun or wrinkled little rocks pieces of paper or aluminum and can also be used marbles. To start a bullet, pull the glove finger backwards, then simply let go!

Healing Points on your Body

Trigger points, a type of muscle stiffness, are the result of tiny contraction knots that develop in muscle and tissue when an area of the body is injured or overworked. Trigger points are something traditional doctors ignore, but they could be the one thing that has been overlooked in your case for years, if not decades.

A hallmark of trigger points is something called "referred" pain. This means that trigger points typically send their pain to some other place in the body, which is why conventional treatments for pain so often fail. Many health care practitioners wrongly assume that the problem is located where the pain is and therefore fail to assess the body correctly to find the cause of your pain.

I'm going to give you some valuable information about trigger points that I hope will encourage you to consider the possibility that trigger points may be the missing link in your quest for relief.

What Triggers a Trigger Point?

Trigger points can occur as a result of muscle trauma (from car accidents, falls, sports- and work-related injuries, etc.), muscle strain from repetitive movements at work or play, postural strain from standing or sitting improperly for long periods at the computer, emotional stress, anxiety, allergies, nutritional deficiencies, inflammation, and toxins in the environment. A single event can initiate a trigger point, and you can suffer the effects for the rest of your life if that trigger point is not addressed properly.

Why Trigger Points Cause Trouble

Your body's instinctive reaction to a harmful "event" is to protect itself. It does that by altering the way you move, sit, or stand, which puts abnormal stress on your muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints. This produces strength and flexibility imbalances in your muscles, as well as postural dysfunctions throughout your body.

If that were not bad enough, your blood flow can become restricted and when that happens both your peripheral and central nervous systems will start to send out those "referred" pain signals, making assessment and treatment even trickier. That's why some experts believe that trigger points are the beginning stage of fibromyalgia. Can things get even worse? Keep reading.

Why You May Be Suffering

To better illustrate the process, here's an example of how one trigger point in one muscle can cause back pain, sciatica, or a herniated disc. The most common place for a trigger point is in the muscle of the lower back called the quadratus lumborum (QL), which is located just above your hips. Regardless of what kind of event sparks the trigger point, your QL will gradually become dysfunctional—that is, the QL will tighten and shorten. And as you limit its use, it will weaken.

As the QL becomes increasingly dysfunctional, it will alter the position of the pelvis. As the pelvis becomes dysfunctional, it will force the spine into an abnormal curvature that will put abnormal pressure on the disc. Over time, the disc will begin to bulge. This situation will get progressively worse, affecting your overall quality of life. Depression often follows. All of this from a single event that occurred in one moment in time.

Do You Have Trigger Points?

Everyone has trigger points; the question is degree. If you have lingering pain, tightness, or restriction of certain movements, it is a good bet that you are experiencing the effects of a trigger point. Trigger points may produce symptoms as diverse as dizziness, earaches, sinusitis, nausea, heartburn, false heart pain, heart arrhythmia, genital pain, and numbness in the hands and feet.

Trigger points can bring on headaches, neck and jaw pain, low back pain, sciatica, tennis elbow, and carpal tunnel syndrome—you name it. They are the source of joint pain in the shoulder, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle that is often mistaken for arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, or ligament injury. If you think this is overkill, I suggest you read the book Why We Hurt: A Complete Physical & Spiritual Guide to Healing Your Chronic Pain, by Dr. Greg Fors, in which he explains precisely why so many different conditions are rooted in trigger points.

Here are a few more symptoms you should know about: If you have restless leg syndrome, you have TPs; if your teeth hurt, you have TPs; if your workouts have plateaued, you have TPs; if you have painful menses or irritable bowel syndrome, you have TPs.

Hobo Stove

How to Make A Homemade Camp Stove

  • 1
Take a clean, empty soda can and make a cut approximately 2.5 centimeters from the bottom of the can with your box cutter. Continue to cut around the length of the can. Do the same thing with another clean, empty soda can.
  • 2
Drill a hole in the bottom of one of the 2.5-centimeter can bottoms.
  • 3
Take the two can bottoms and push them inside one another. There should now be a can bottom on either side and the two cans should fit together snugly.
  • 4
Place the cans on a hard surface, hole-side up. Take your needle and punch lots of small holes around the top of the can facing upwards. Try to only punch holes around the outer perimeter of the top of the can.
  • 5
Pour a small amount of alcohol into the center hole, enough to cover the bottom of the inside of the stove.
  • 6
Light the alcohol with a match and put a penny over the center hole.
  • 7
    You're ready to cook marshmallows!

How to Get High Naturally + Safely

Many of us had our various habits of addiction during the high school and college years. Whether you used alcohol, marijuana or something worse, by the time you are married and have kids, many of us give up these highs for the fear of spending time in jail for DUI or possession; ruining our health or even worse, being declared irresponsible by those who rely on us. Does that mean then that we can forget about getting those highs again? Surprisingly, no, because life offers us its legal, mostly healthy, and shame free highs, the top 5 of which we will cover here.
Running is the first way to get a natural high. Running at a fast, difficult pace for thirty minutes to an hour will cause your body to naturally release a great amount of endorphins that cause a very real euphoria that few drugs can match. Running this hard for such lengths of time, however, requires that a person builds up to such a difficult run. You may want to start with running for twenty minutes and every few weeks increasing it by ten minutes until you reach this euphoric state. Obviously this not only will result in the intense feelings of pleasure but a healthy body as well. We must advice you to seek a doctor's advice before undertaking this if you have any health issues, especially with your heart and/or weight.
Sex is another way to get that euphoric high feeling naturally. This one is probably the most obvious and known about. It is somewhat similar to the high you get when running except it is a short burst of euphoria where as running will lead to a longer lasting high. This obviously includes all form of sex including masturbation. The difference of sex from the other methods mentioned here is that whether you are male or female has a world of difference in the intensity of your pleasure.
Falling in love or infatuation is a different form of high. The chemicals involved in the euphoria of being infatuated or falling in love with a person are very complex. However most of us know that those feelings are extremely powerful, so powerful in fact that we will do things that anyone not in love will consider utterly insane. Also interesting is that infatuation is perhaps the longest high you can get, lasting 6 months or longer, but also the only one that we are going to cover that has a "coming down" or a hangover effect similar to drugs or alcohol which especially can be felt when that relationship is broken off without the consent of one of the parties, such as a brake up or cheating. However there are few who can say that they have felt a more intense high than falling in love.
Giving a truly anonymous gift is perhaps the most inexplicable of all the highs. Giving a gift isn't enough however. The gift must be given to someone who really needs it and it must be given in such a way that that person must never be able to find out. As said earlier, the reason behind this euphoria is not quite understood however it is perhaps the most pleasurable of all euphoria. The intense feelings of pleasure are beyond anything that mere words can explain and only can be truly understood by living through it.
Thrill seeking has been misunderstood by many of those who don't engage in climbing on the side of a mountain a thousand feet above ground, jump out of an airplane with nothing but a parachute to save their life, or perhaps swimming with the world's deadliest sharks. However the amount of adrenaline that gets pumped into a person's blood stream when faced with these near death situations is beyond belief. The euphoria that follows is, oh, so sweet.
You may have heard about those who can lift a car by themselves when they are faced with a dire situation. This again is an area that is little understood. How is someone who has the same muscles they had just seconds earlier is able to perform feats that require 10 or more times their normal strength? Yet, with an adrenaline rush, it has been done. The more interesting thing is that accompanying this adrenaline rush is also a rush of intense euphoria and this burst of pleasure is what thrill seekers quest after.
So do you have to resort to the high school means of achieving your high, risking your freedom, health and pride? Such shame is not required. Your health does not need to be sacrificed. And you certainly do not need to give up your freedom to experience the best euphoria this life has to offer. Try these methods and your desires for pleasure will be more than fulfilled.

Where to Punch a Person

It is actually not as hard as many people think to knock someone out with one punch. Watching a boxing match, mixed martial arts fight, or other combat sports you can get the impression that a knockout punch is something very difficult to get right. But in real life, in a street confrontation with no gloves and fighting against someone who is probably not trained to take a punch, getting a k.o. is much, much easier.
If you want to learn how to knock someone out with one punch the first thing you have to do is to think about what it actually is which causes the loss of consciousness. Some types of punch can be very effective at hurting your opponent, opening up cuts on their face or breaking their nose, but may still have little or no chance of knocking them out.
When a person gets knocked unconscious by a punch it is not the immediate force of the impact which does this, but rather the force of the brain being rattled against the inside of the skull.
This means that a punch which causes the head to jerk and move rapidly will be much more likely to knock someone out than a punch which causes less movement of the head, even if it is not as hard. It also means that speed is paramount. A very fast strike with just enough power to move the head will be more likely to knock someone out than a slower punch which has more power and weight behind it.
The need to create this movement of the head is the reason why you are more likely to knock someone out with a punch which they don't see coming. If you see a punch coming towards you you will tense your neck muscles and brace yourself against the impact, reducing the movement of your head when the punch lands. If your neck muscles are relaxed when a punch hits you then you will almost always get knocked out, whatever kind of punch it is.
Once a fight has started it is very difficult to engineer a situation where your opponent will not see a punch coming, however if you are in a situation where you are being threatened and a fight seems inevitable, but hasn't yet started, you can take advantage of this by suddenly throwing the first punch at an unexpected moment, such as while you are in the middle of a sentence, and by striking from a direction where they will not see it until it is too late.
When it comes to the actual punch a strike from the side, such as a hook, is more likely to knock someone out than a straight punch to the front of the face, simply because it will be harder for the neck muscles to prevent the head from being jerked. For the same reason an uppercut is generally better than a straight punch, but probably not as good as a hook. When trying to knock someone out with a hook the further away from the neck you can land the punch the more movement there will be and the more likely it is to knock them out. This means that the best place to land a hook is right on the end of the chin.
The ultimate knockout punch, however, uses and entirely different method. Rather than jerking the knead it uses the principles of Dim Mak pressure point fighting. The ultimate knockout punch is a strike to the temple. You have to be very accurate to get this right, but with practice you can do it every time.
The only trick you must know in order to knock someone out with a strike to the temple is how to hold your hand. It should be clear that an ordinary fist is much bigger than the area of the temple, and so it is very poor at focusing force on this pressure point.
There are two hand forms you can use instead. The first is the phoenix fist, in which you hold an ordinary fist but with the middle finger raised up a little out of the bunch. When using this you strike with the middle joint of the raised finger, rather than the knuckle.
The other option, which I personally prefer, is to use a sword hand. To do this hold your hand out flat with the palm facing downwards and turn your wrist so that your fingers are pointing outwards. This creates a fairly sharp point from the joint at the very base of the thumb, just above the wrist. With this hand form you strike using a swinging motion of the arm.
When practicing either of these strikes power is virtually irrelevant, and accuracy is everything. If you land a strike with the whole force focused on the temple you will knock your opponent out every time, no matter how hard the strike is.

Budgeting Life Hack

What Is A Budget? A budget is a spending plan that includes everything you will spend money on.  A good budget is a spending plan that includes everything you will spend money on and stays within your income.  A wise budget includes everything you will spend money on, savings for a 'rainy day', savings for large purchases, giving, savings for kids, and investment for retirement and still stays within your income.  I suspect the wise budget is a bit over the top for you if you're new to budgeting.  Caution!  No matter how detailed your spending plan is, if it does not include everything you spend money on, or, if it does not address where you will get the money to cover all your expenses, it is not a budget.  These Personal Finance Books may help you plan your money and execute your plan.
Why Budget?  I suspect you already know why or you wouldn't be reading this.  If we don't budget, we lose control of our expenses and can't even figure out where the money went.  Worse, yet...we can't figure out where we'll get the money to cover that big bill we forgot was coming.  If you have trouble committing to or staying within a budget, take a look at Compulsive Shopping Addiction.

Tips On Budgeting:

Budgeting Tip 1:  Get the whole picture.  Start by collecting all checking account and credit card statements for the last year.  Collect all cash receipts for the last month (or next month if you don't do this).  Don't forget cash spent on co-payments, mocha's, haircuts, etc.  Now collect all receipts for financial contributions to charity, including Girl Scout cookies, etc.  Collect all pay stubs, deposit receipts, etc.
Budgeting Tip 2:  Record the whole picture.  Use all the stuff you collected to record a 'picture' of what you spent last year (use a pencil and have a big eraser on hand.  You can print and use our Family Budget Worksheet to make this job easier.  Don't be surprised if this takes a lot of time with a calculator and scratch paper.
Budgeting Tip 3:  Check off the lines on your documents as you account for them in a budget item.  That way you don't put the same thing in more than one item and you don't forget anything.
Budgeting Tip 4:  Formulas:
Convert regular weekly pay to monthly:  Weekly Pay x 4.333 = Monthly Pay
    Convert bi-weekly pay to monthly:  Bi-Weekly Pay x 2.167 = Monthly Pay
Convert annual totals to monthly amounts by dividing the total by 12.
Budgeting Tip 5:  The Family Bills For Monthly Expenses part of the Worksheet is just for regular monthly bills, savings and investment.  If insurance, for instance, is billed monthly, it would go here.
Budgeting Tip 6:  If the insurance, however, is billed less often than monthly, the total annual amount would be divided by 12, and that number would be listed in the Impound Budget For Non-Monthly Expenses.  Don't forget to list the month it's due to be paid.  This 'Impound' section is a powerful and unique tool to save monthly for all your annual expenses and avoid those nasty surprises.
Budgeting Tip 7:  Include everything you regularly pay cash for in the Cash Budget-Monthly section.
Budgeting Tip 8:  After you total everything, you may be surprised to discover your expenses are larger than your income.  This is normal, I'm sad to say.  The amount your expenses exceed your income is the amount you add to your credit cards and other consumer credit balances every month.  Note:  When I did this the first time I discovered I was spending $ 250 more than my income each month.  If your income is larger than your expenses, the difference is the amount you can add to savings, etc.
Budgeting Tip 9:  Review your budget worksheet to see if you can spot any errors, to try and find areas where you feel your spending is excessive, and to consider if any expenses (maintenance, insurance, taxes, etc.) will increase over the next year...make necessary adjustments and re-total.
Budgeting Tip 10:  Make sure you keep a savings balance for a "rainy day" that matches 6 months of your net income.  After you've accumulated that, you can begin investing and buying some of those things you just want.
Budgeting Tip 11:  Giving or donating is as important as paying a bill.  Give this a try!  You should have an amount designated on your family budget for giving.  Even if you don't take part in a regular charity or church giving program, make giving part of your budget.  There is a great deal of evidence, from 2,900 years ago right up to the present, that what you give comes back to you multiplied.  Do it for a year and see what happens.
